PCBasic Privacy Policy & Compliance Agreement

At PCBasic, we place the highest priority on protecting customer information, respecting intellectual property, and ensuring full compliance with international regulations. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

1. Privacy & Data Protection

PCBasic is committed to:

1. Protecting all user-generated and user-provided data from unauthorized access, theft, misuse, or processing in violation of this policy.

2. Never selling or trading customer data for financial gain or competitive advantage.

3. Maintaining transparency about what data we collect, how we use it, and what limited access third parties may have for operational purposes.

4. Notifying affected users if their data is ever compromised—whether due to a security failure or a legal request—to the maximum extent permitted by law.

2. Prohibited Uploads: Weapons & Regulated Items

Uploading weapon-related, harmful, or export-controlled content is strictly prohibited.
PCBasic does not manufacture, process, or accept any PCB/PCBA or related items used for weapons or military equipment of any kind.

You agree and warrant that your uploaded data does NOT contain:

Weapons (broadly defined), including but not limited to:

• Firearms or any device capable of discharging a projectile by explosive force
• Concealable explosive-powered devices
• Ammunition or any component essential to safe firing
• Bladed weapons designed to inflict harm
• Explosive devices (grenades, rockets, mines, incendiaries, etc.)
• Replica guns, toy guns, mock weapons, training weapons
• Parts, accessories, or components that attach to or affect the function of a weapon (e.g., scopes, mounts, firing-related attachments)

Critical/functional parts used for high-risk industries, including:

• Aerospace
• Marine/offshore
• Automotive safety-critical modules
• Medical life-support or diagnostic equipment

3. ITAR/EAR & Export-Controlled Content

PCBasic does not accept designs or data subject to ITAR, EAR beyond basic levels, or any other similar export-control systems from any jurisdiction.

You must confirm that your PCB files, CAD data, and supporting documents are NOT controlled under any defense-related export regulation.

If you are unsure whether your design is export-controlled, please consult your local regulatory authority before uploading.

4. Intellectual Property & Legal Compliance

By uploading data to PCBasic, you represent and warrant that your files:

• Do not infringe on any intellectual property rights (including patents, copyrights, trademarks, design rights, or trade secrets)
• Do not contain counterfeit-related content
• Do not include false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, or harmful materials
• Do not violate any applicable law, safety regulation, or public policy
• Do not violate PCBasic’s Export Control requirements

5. Conflict-Free Minerals Commitment

PCBasic supports responsible sourcing and prohibits the use of conflict minerals.

“Conflict minerals” refer to materials such as gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), tin (Sn), cobalt (Co), etc., originating from regions controlled by armed groups or extracted under illegal, unethical, or violent conditions.

PCBasic requires all suppliers to:

• Use only conflict-free minerals
• Comply with recognized industry standards such as the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI)
• Prioritize sourcing from verified conflict-free smelters PCBasic is committed to maintaining a conflict-free supply chain to the fullest extent possible.

6. Export Control Compliance

Due to compliance requirements associated with our suppliers and logistics partners, PCBasic may not be able to provide products or services to certain restricted regions or destinations with special regulatory limitations.

For delivery addresses in locations subject to additional compliance review, PCBasic may request a signed Product End-Use Declaration or other supporting documents before proceeding with production or shipment.
